Jim's Blue and Orange Quilt

The fourth quilt that I made was for a boyfriend that was a New York Syracuse Orangeman college football fan. The cotton fabrics that I selected were a solid blue, a solid orange, and an orange print. Before I attached the borders of the quilt, I had a banner embroidered by an outside source for the top of the quilt that read “Syracuse Orangemen” in all capital letters. Before the quilt was completed, I also had four solid orange corner border blocks embroidered with the names of the men that wore the number “44” which has since been retired from their team. Those four men accomplished great things in their college football careers. This is a very special quilt which celebrates their successes.
