My Honda's New Quilt
Here is the quilt that is going to ride in my Honda. I purchased this colorful 50"x58" quilt off of e-bay as an unfinished quilt. All I had to do was close up a 12" seam opening that was left open. I have decided not to add any quilting to this quilt. The backing is a bright orange fleece. This quilt should provide some entertainment for my grandsons.
I also purchased matching window shades, a toy rattle that lights up and those two cute little guys. The elephant is very soft and cuddly and the puppy is an interactive educational toy that talks and sings.

Book Quilts for Trent and Tristen
Here are the finished book quilts for Trent (the green binding) and Tristen (the black binding). I also have a pillow to match Trent's quilt which is finished. Tristen's pillow has not been finished as of yet. Something else for Grandma to get to. The babies will receive these quilts the next time that Grandma comes which will be real soon now.

Bookcase for Quilting Books
My Mom's Special Coffee Cup
Congratulations! on your fine win yesterday, Roger. He won his 5th U.S. Open yesterday for all of those who do not follow tennis and missed great history that was made. I made some history of my own last week. I searched e-bay and found this coffee cup for my mom. She is going to love this. Especially after yesterday!

Quilting Safety Pins Storage
Here is a great little 3-drawer container that I found and purchased from Lowe's. It is just the right size to house my open and ready-to-use safety pins that I use when I am layering a quilt. Another great item that I made sure to include in this photo is my useful cocktail fork. When you are pinning your layered quilt, a cocktail fork will make it very easy to open and close these pins without pricking your fingers.
Leftover Binding Storage
Here is a great way to store your leftover binding from your completed projects. I carefully fold them into stacked piles and make paper bands from scratch paper that are securly taped in the back. Stored this way they will remain orderly, clean and ready to utilize in this recycled box from a 24-pack of bottled waters.
My Honda's Unfinished Quilt
Here is the quilt that is going to ride in my new Honda and protect my back seat. This is a pieced Yellow Brick Road floral quilt. I purchased this quilt kit on e-bay and then went to a local quilt shop to purchase the fabric for the borders and backing. The large floral print compliments the rest of the quilt very nicely. I can't wait until this quilt is done.
Michael's Unfinished Quilt
Here is my nephew's new pieced Yellow Brick Road Florida Gators quilt. Go Gators! Aunt Maureen had better get going and complete this quilt for him as college football season has begun. I would like him to be able to use his quilt while he watches football with his dad. As soon as his sister's quilt is finished, I will begin quilting this quilt.

Trent's Unfinished Frog Quilt
Here is Trent's new pieced patchwork quilt. I am waiting for some additional dark green fabric with frogs that I purchased to arrive to make some borders for it. I have some additional blue squares with frogs on them for the corners. This bright quilt will be a nice size when it is completed. I hope he likes it!
Quilt Meeting Raffle Basket
I finally won one! I have wanted one of these darling sewing baskets that my mother assembles for her quilting ladies for a long time. Mom would tell me "join our quilt quild and win one". I now have one. At our August meeting my raffle number was called and I brought my first sewing basket full of goodies home. This basket will sit on my table as is. I can't wait to use some of the great fabrics that I have received.
Charm Squares Tote
Here are both sides of a great tote that my mother suprised me with. It is made from different colorful charm squares and has white flying geese as well. I love it! This tote will protect my completed quilt items when I take them to our quilt meeting for show and tell or I can use this tote when I travel. Thanks, Mom.

Second Baby Girl Quilt is Done
Here is Bryanna's second quilt that she takes to school with her. I forgot to take a photo of this quilt before I gave it to her and my daughter took this photo for me. Thank you, again, Jessica. This quilt has soft flannel on the front and cotton fabric on the back with strawberries on both sides. I hope she enjoys her new quilt.
