Matching Christmas Fleece Blankets for 2008

These are the fleece blankets that I gave my grandsons as part of their Christmas gifts this year. They are large in size, have cute bright writing and are ever-so-soft. For my son's son, Trent, I finished the blanket by folding up the sides to create a double layer, then I zigzaged all the way around and I fringed the edges. For my daughter's son, Tristen, I finished the blanket by folding up the sides, zigzaged all the way around, cut every 1/2" to make loops, and interlocked the loops together. These babies can enjoy their matching blankets together and their parents can still tell these blankets apart.

Trent's Finished Frog Quilt

Here it is! I have finally finished Trent's frog quilt. What little boy does not love frogs. The three different 4" squares purchases off of e-bay, the purple binding, and the backing worked so well together and my diagonal lines were just perfect. Enjoy my sweet grandson!

Tristen's Bear Quilt

Here is the Bear quilt that hangs on one side of Tristen's crib. Grandma purchased this quilt on e-bay as an unfinished project. I trimmed the edges and added the bright green binding. It is a very soft quilt that has been rescued and completed.

Plants in My Garden

Here are a few weeds that I did find in my garden.

Here is a new delicate green plant at the base of that palm tree.

This plant will be a tree one day. It is doing very nice.

Here is a hanging vine that is almost to the floor.

This is a tiny plant that has a lot of character.

I love this green and yellow plant.
Here is another tree that is getting big.

This plant is doing well. It will need a bigger pot soon.

Flowers in My Garden

Everyone should have some flowers that are easy to care for and always look good. I do.

Here is a new addition to my garden. The bright colors make this plant easy to see.

Here are pink mums for fall. They are just now starting to open up.

These pink flowers are so bright. I also have a few plants with orange flowers.

Here are flowers from my spring garden that are still doing well.

This plant is struggling but it is still with us.

I have two of these velvet-looking flowering plants.

I put a few marigolds in for fall. They are still little.

Spiders in My Garden

Look at all the new spider plants that I have growing. They are all from the mother plant.

Another view of these babies. And more babies are on the mother plant now.

Here is another one. Soon there will be spiders all over the place.

Bunnies in My Garden

Here is another bunny for my garden.

Isn't she cute?

"Where are you going?"

"That's better. Stay over here."

The other bunny is so good. She just sits there and looks so sweet.

Frogs in My Garden

Here is an important frog in my garden. Looks like another hot one today!

"The Girls". They look so good chilling on these red bricks.

This little guy was in the backyard. He looks much better out in the garden.

A close-up of my Trumpet Frog. He is holding a solar egg that lights up at night.

This frog plant holder is a colorful piece of art. The boston fern has been recently transplanted.

Here is my Shiny Frog on his red brick.

Another close-up of my cute buddy. He just lays there looking great.

Here is my Brick Frog. He is quiet while he sits by my air plants.

Here is another frog from the backyard. He is comfortable just laying in my garden with his egg.

There are lots of frogs in my garden. These little guys are fun!

And don't forget these over here as well.

Frogs are everywhere. They are a lovely addition to my garden.

Linneas in My Garden

Here are the girls! They have been sitting in my garden for sometime now. They are older and now weathered. They have been a joy to me whenever I sit and savor my garden.

Sydney's Finished Spongebob Quilt

Here is Sydney's Spongebob quilt. There are plenty of fussy cut Bob's on this quilt for any Spongebob lover. The backing fabric that I selected makes this quilt a really "girly" quilt. What girl wouldn't like strawberries and dasies? The colors on both sides are bright and their is a soft feel to this quilt when you handle it. Sydney can enjoy this large quilt for a long time.

Michael's Finished Gator Quilt

Here is Michael's Flordia Gators quilt. It really turned out nice. The colors are bright and their is plenty of Gator's material for any true sports fan. The backing of this quilt is a soft flannel that is ready of basketball season. This is a large quilt that my nephew can enjoy for a long time. Go Gators!

More New Books

I wanted my quilting library to contain these two books.

More New Books

I had to have these books as well. The book on the right will look great on a glass-top coffee table with a quilt on the nearby couch.
